Book Description

One night 2 frogs wish on a falling star for a baby, only to have a small froglet wish on the same falling star for a Mommy and Daddy. Destined to be a family, both Suzette (Mommy) and Kristoff (Daddy) share a dream seeing the froglet make his wish. This begins their journey to find their new son. They solicit the help of four dragonflies and discover that he lives in a pond very far away. The story continues with their trip to find him and the 3 frogs discovering the love that brings a family together. Inspired by a family who went all the way to Thailand to find their son, this book highlights the love behind adoption within a fun story for children.

Thoughts from the author:

It is such a helpless feeling to watch someone you care about struggle through fertility issues and the adoption process. As a friend you want to help, but there’s just nothing that you can do. It was in this love for my friends and the helplessness that I felt, that the idea to create this story was born.

It was my intention to capture the love and determination that it took Kristoff and Suzette to find their Little One. Their Little Oat that was pre-destined to be with them, and that they needed him as much as he needed them. It is my hope and dream that when a child reads this story he or she isn’t thinking about “adoption”. They are thinking, "Wow, look how much these 2 frogs loved this little froglet and they didn’t even know him."

When I wrote this story, I didn’t intend on publishing it. It was only to be a gift for my friends and family. But at the encouragement of the people who read my story, it now gets to be shared throughout the world.

Thank you for the encouragement and Thank You for reading my story.
